About this part

A post-type bar uses strong upright posts either side of the winch cradle rather than full loops across the grille. The front stays open for airflow and sensors, there is room for a winch and driving lights, and the rated recovery points are part of the bar itself.

The HiLux is the ute we fit out most in Miami. The N80 and the new N90 have different front ends, so parts for one will not fit the other; the part number tells you which you need.

Fitting in Miami

Fitting is usually a full day in our Miami workshop. The factory bumper comes off and the bar mounts to the chassis rails, then we move fog lights, parking sensors and the front camera across where your vehicle has them, aim the headlights and test every sensor before you collect it. If you want a winch or driving lights, we fit them in the same visit so the front end only comes apart once.

What we check before ordering

• Your build date and grade, so the bar matches your bumper, sensor and camera layout
• Which winch you want and how its control box mounts
• Where the driving lights and UHF aerial will sit
• Front ride height, because a steel bar and winch add weight over the front axle
